BREAKING Socialiștii europeni au „înghețat” relațiile cu PSD. Comunicat oficial al PES
Președintele Partidului Socialiștilor Europeni (PES), Serghei Stanișev, a transmis miercuri că ”liderii PES consideră înghețate relațiile cu PSD” până când guvernul României își clarifică angajamentul față de statul de drept și urmează recomandările Comisiei Europene, potrivit unui comunicat de presă al PES, relatează G4Media.ro .
Mai mult, Stanișev arată în comunicatul citat că apartenența PSD la familia socialiștilor europeni va fi discutată în iunie, la viitoarea întâlnire a conducerii PSD.
Până în iunie, PES nu va mai organiza nici un eveniment împreună cu PSD, a mai anunțat Stanișev în comunicatul oficial postat pe site-ul PES.
Măsurile luate de PES la adresa PSD vin la scurt timp după ce PPE a suspendat FIDESZ, partidul premierului mahiar Viktor Orban, iar ALDE european a anunțat că va discuta o cerere de excludere a partidului condus de Călin Popescu Tăriceanu.

The UK Government and EU must work together to prevent the UK crashing out without a deal, the Party of European Socialists said today.
The route through the Brexit impasse requires constructive dialogue and a clear plan, with an extension if needed.
PES Common Candidate Frans Timmermans, PES President Sergei Stanishev, and progressive heads of government, commissioners and party leaders met today in Brussels ahead of the Special European Council, which will decide whether to postpone the date the UK leaves the EU.
PES President Sergei Stanishev said:
“Rushing into a no-deal Brexit would be bad news for the UK and the EU. The UK needs time to find a solution on how to move forward, through negotiations between the government and the official opposition, so a workable solution to the current impasse in the UK can be found. A cliff edge exit would be very damaging.”
During the meeting PES President Sergei Stanishev restated the PES’s continued concerns about the rule of law in Romania. He informed the prime ministers, commissioners and party leaders that until the Romanian Government clarified its commitment to the rule of law and followed the European Commission’s recommendations, the PES leadership will consider relations with the PSD frozen, pending a formal discussion at the next PES Presidency meeting in June, where PSD Romania’s membership of the PES will be discussed. He concluded by saying that no PES events will be organised with the PSD until this time.
